Near the lake, Jawinaam, a humble fisherman, struggles with meager catches to support his wife Nyamalo and their newborn child. One night, encountering a mysterious night runner, Osiku, Jawinaam's world takes a dark turn. Despite Osiku's plea for secrecy, Jawinaam vanishes while fishing, his body found later, his right leg missing.

Osiku seizes the opportunity, marrying Nyamalo, but his actions come with a price.
